Vaikunta eakadasi

Ekadasi is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Vishnu on the eleventh day of every lunar fortnight in traditional Hindu calendar. Ekadasi 2013 - 2014 dates based on Hindu Lunar Calendar. Nirjala Ekadasi 2013 was on June 20. There is no Vaikunta Ekadasi in 2013. Fasting on Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious and is believed to help in redemption of sins and in attaining Moksha. The life story of Sri Andal is very well known in South India and to a few people in the north. However, a brief narrative is given here for the fresher.
